All equipment that we make available to our clients is tested by us in salon before we even recommend it to ANY ONE. And we are pretty rigorous with our testing.

For example something as simple as a blow dryer or a brush would be used by us 4-6 TIMES a day between 1& 4 years! and then we say if its good enough. If a product demonstrated a manufacturing defect we would exchange it for a new on no questions asked.
